Clothing

Choosing what to wear is probably the most stressful part about getting your pictures taken. I have found that is best to wear clothing with personality. Choose clothing that represents your character. Try to layer clothing as much as possible to add texture and interest. Also choose clothes that have ruffles, buttons or ribbons.

Accessories

Try adding some fun accessories to also add interest. Some suggestions that can make a photograph more interesting are necklaces, hats, scarves, a pair of fun boots, tights or what ever adds your personal touch.

Family Clothing

Choosing clothing for a family picture is very nerve racking. Try picking a few colors and sticking to it for the entire family. Dark jeans or khakis are always a nice start. Then choose a few coordinating colors, but try to keep everyone a little different to make the individuals unique.
